Claira Morgan has done it again! Shes doing an outstanding job with her steer she purchased from us at the Nebraska Cornhusker Sale! This last weekend he was virtually slapped Champion futurity steer! Waiting nervously for the results of the overall show. He should be in the running - I knew this guy had the stuff! Good luck Morgans at Junior Nationals this summer!

Long HOT but incredibly FUN weekend for the kids at the Gelbvieh Regional Show this weekend in Phillipsburg! Big thanks to the hard working crew for getting it put together.

I didn't get any backdrop or many photos hustling keeping the kids in 6 head. But my mom shared these, and hope to get some more from show staff and friends!

Big Congratulations to our customers from last fall with there purchases in our Pride in the Pasture fall sale and in the Nebraska Cornhusker Futurity sale. Claira Morgan cleaned house yesterday at there county Fair with her pair she purchased from us at the Futurity sale. Champion Market Beef and Champion Breeding Heifer!!! I didnt get a new picture of her so used the one from winning earlier 
so proud of this crew!!
Jhet Johnson also had Champion Hereford Steer at the Morris County Fair again this year!! Think it's his 3rd year running with a JC Steer.
They did a great job with this steer, he was a bit nervous as a calf but both him and his sister had there turn at showing him in showmanship at fair
THIS FALL WE ARE NOT HAVING OUR INTERNET SALE, but I will be offering a few select calves for private treaty and hopefully a few calves in the Nebraska Futurity sale.

oh yah and the black cows are pretty cool too! (Some amazing personalities on them, and maternal abilities are off the charts... but that's for another post)
They have taken the time to learn a whole new breed. New breed programs, new bloodlines, new feeding techniques and dug in whole heartedly. Makes ones heart happy!

Little bit of mom brag tonight.. super proud of my kiddos and there blacks this weekend! The kids took 3 of there home raised balancer heifers this weekend to the Royal.
Came home with 2 division champions in the Junior show and 1 division in the open show. Yep were tired, yep were dirty, the grounds were as poorly cared for by staff as we have ever seen it. And we had to wear masks... but the kids got to show. We love our gelbvieh family and wouldn't trade them for the world!
